Abby Wise-Till
Social Worker & Psychotherapist (She/Her)
Abby Wise-Till (MSW, RSW) is a Master of Social Work graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University (2023) with a strong commitment to compassionate, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive practice. Her academic and professional journey has been shaped by a deep interest in supporting individuals and families navigating trauma, disability, mental health challenges, and systemic barriers.
Abby currently works as a social worker at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) on an inpatient forensic mental health unit. In this role, she supports adults under the Ontario Review Board through individualized counselling, case management, psychoeducation, and transition planning. She also brings extensive experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, particularly through her work with CAMH’s Forensic Dual Diagnosis Specialty Service, where she supported clients and their families in navigating complex care systems, housing, and community resources.
Supporting children and families has been a central focus of Abby’s practice. At the Child Development Institute, she worked with girls and caregivers through individual, family, and group counselling using CBT-informed approaches. She also supports women and children impacted by gender-based violence as a trauma counsellor at YWCA Arise Shelter. Across all settings, Abby is committed to creating safe, collaborative spaces where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported in their growth and healing.
