Anxiety, Burnout & Emotional Overwhelm

Psychotherapy for people feeling overwhelmed by the demands of everyday life.

Anxiety and burnout do not always look obvious. They can appear as perfectionism, emotional exhaustion, avoidance, irritability, shutdown, overthinking, or difficulty coping with everyday demands.

At Counselling & Behaviour, we help individuals better understand the underlying patterns driving overwhelm, emotional dysregulation, and chronic stress so they can function more sustainably across school, work, relationships, and everyday life.

Common Challenges:

We frequently support individuals experiencing:

·      Chronic anxiety and stress

·      Burnout and emotional exhaustion

·      Panic attacks

·      Perfectionism and fear of failure

·      Emotional dysregulation

·      Shutdown and avoidance cycles

·      Executive functioning difficulties

·      Social anxiety

·      School or workplace overwhelm

·      Difficulty coping with transitions or uncertainty

Our Approach

Anxiety is often connected to deeper emotional, cognitive, sensory, or environmental factors.

Rather than focusing only on symptom management, we work to understand:

·      What is driving the overwhelm

·      How stress is being processed

·      What patterns are reinforcing the anxiety

·      Where functioning begins to break down

Our approach is flexible, evidence-based, and adapted to the individual. We focus on helping people build emotional awareness, flexibility, coping capacity, and more sustainable ways of functioning over time.
